If it’s time to add some organization to your (almost) teenager’s room, I’ve got some suggestions on this week’s episode!
Of course, I’m using the 3 E’s to keep this simple, but I’m also hopping up on my soapbox a couple of times to explain why it’s so important to give your teen a space that reflects their style and needs.
Between hormones, growth spurts, and epic mood swings you might want to close the door to their room and open it right before they head off to college but resist that urge! We’ve got to give them grace, validate their feelings, and offer them a space for flexibility, control, rest, safety, and hosting their friends.
If this is a tall order for you to do with your teen, don’t hesitate to call an expert! They’ll get way more accomplished in a shorter amount of time, and that takes so much pressure off of you.
